I would like to share with you some of the lessons I learnt in the First half of 2021. I hope that you will find these lessons helpful. Also feel free to share with me in the comments section some of the lessons you have also learnt.
Some Lessons Learnt
1. The way you carry yourself is the way people will treat you. Be confident and people will respect you. Be timid and people will treat you like trash or maltreat you and look down on you.
2. Be confident and bold in all situations life throws at you. Hold your head up high. Walk confidently.
3. Make good use of the opportunities you have. You know what they say about opportunities lost?Grab them as if you will never see it again.
4. You are not alone in your struggles. Life happens to everyone, not only you. Some experience it differently, some have the same experiences.
5. Don’t let anyone bully you or intimidate you into silence. Be courageous to stand for yourself.
6. Never compare yourself to anyone not even to your past self. You are unique in your own way. Rather compare your growth and progress to your goals.
7. Don’t compare your past to your present. In terms of finances, compare your present expenses with your current income.
8. Silence is a means of communication. A lot of words can be said with silence and mere body language. Be wise.
9. Save for the rainy days. Save before you set your budget for spending. Don’t spend and save the rest.
10. Step out of your comfort zone and take risks. Life is a risk itself. Be ready to jump into risks.
11. Don’t be desperate for anything. Maintain your stance. It’s easy for people to take advantage of you and emotionally blackmail you if you look desperate.
12. Face your fears. Stop running away from your battles. Stop hiding and avoiding conflict. Face them, fight them and overcome them.
13. Don’t envy anyone. No one has a perfect life. If you get to know some people’s weaknesses or struggles, you will be grateful for your own life.
14. Say no without feeling guilty. Don’t allow anyone emotionally blackmail you to say yes. Be responsible for whatever decisions you make.
15. Know what you want in life. You are not too young to take decisions. Be decisive.
16. Monetize your time. Time is money. Time is so precious. Use your time wisely.
17. Don’t be afraid to ask your friends and family to pay for your services.
18. What is that thing that people come to you for? That’s the value you add and people will only pay for value. So find out what value you can offer and place a price tag on it.
19. Never stop telling people what you do. One day someone will notice you. A closed mouth is a closed destiny.
20. You can’t be everything. You can’t fit into every role. Focus on your strengths and use it to your advantage.
21. Dream big and aim high. Expand your imaginations. Even if nobody has achieved it, you may be the one to show and prove to others that it is possible.
