A Threefold Cord! 💍

Hey there!

Hope you are doing well? February has pretty been a busy month for me but am I glad I am here now to do this recap of my wedding as I promised in my last blog post.

Enjoy the gists as I take you on my journey to becoming a MRS.

I got married legally to my Darling Husband, My heart rod, My Sunshine, My Delta Igbo King on the 5th of November, 2020 at The Federal Marriage Registry, Ikoyi , Lagos, Nigeria. I had a very beautiful feeling, I was very excited about my new marital status because my heart was at peace with my decision to be with the love of my life forever.

My Mom and my Mom in law were the only witnesses who were allowed into the hall due to the Covid19 restrictions in the midst of the crowd lined up to be joined after Covid19. If you’re Nigerian, you should relate what I mean about the crowd in Ikoyi Registry because the marriage certificate issued there is widely recognized by embassies outside Africa and Worldwide.

The joining lasted for less than 15minutes. Because the officials had a long list of couples to join and everything had to be very fast! We bless God that phase was over.

We had our prewedding shoots at Lekki conservative center, Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria. It was quite stressful because we had a couple of looks we wanted and time wasn’t on our sides, the sun scotched, the monkeys disturbed us at first, but thankful to God for the success. Shout out to my stylist Bukola, our photographers La Beaute, and our videographer Demola who all did amazingly well.

We had our Traditional and White Wedding ceremonies on the 28th November, 2020. Being an event planner who had planned her wedding and had everything figured out, my good friend and colleague who is also a good wedding planner coordinated my wedding and it was indeed a beautiful one. Shout out to Damilola Akingbola.

We were joined in holy matrimony in the presence of God and His people at Living Faith Church, aka Winners’ Chapel, Iyana church, Ibadan, Nigeria on the 28th November, 2020 as well. Our wedding was a very intimate wedding with a guest size of 20. I am happy had an intimate wedding ceremony which I have always wanted. I couldn’t have asked for a better partner because I married the man of my dreams and the love of my life.

We bless God for the success of our wedding ceremony. #TheRoyalHaven was indeed beautiful.

When planning a wedding, you need to be prepared spiritually, financially, emotionally, morally and intellectually for the beautiful journey. I can also tell you that marriage a is beautiful ordained by God. It’s a sweet journey. You will get to understand that when you to marry someone you truly love. It’s has it’s own challenges because no two Marriages are the same. So therefore if you are married, never compare you marriage with someone else’s and if you’re yet to get married, don’t feel pressured, when it’s your time, it will happen, just keep preparing yourself for the journey.

To every unmarried lady or man who are waiting, please don’t get pressured, take your time to decide and be ready because this journey is a long one and don’t forget it’s forever.

However, when planning your wedding, please hire a professional wedding planner to guide you through the steps, to design your dream wedding and also coordinate all your vendors and your event.
